A slightly belated happy anniversary to Jeffrey Zeldman, whose website, zeldman.com, launched twenty years ago yesterday. It was through the first edition of his book, Designing with Web Standards, that I was introduced to web standards, well-formed HTML, and CSS, and, while I’ve been taking the slow route to full-fledged career in the industry, I still owe him a debt of gratitude for that introduction. And if you’re looking for a good introduction to web standards, the third edition of the book is a great place to start.
On his @RWD Twitter account, Ethan Marcotte notes that today is the fifth anniversary of his original Responsive Web Design article. That article has since led to two editions of a book, a podcast, workshops, and generally a whole movement based on the ideas he presented. Congratulations, Ethan!
